About the European Guild
One of the world's leading schools continuing Dr. Ida Rolf's original inquiry into Structural Integration.
Although we didn't know it at the time, the project "European Guild" started in 2011 with the first ever Basic Training in the Czech Republic, organised by CASI — the Czech Association of Structural Integration. Since then more than 150 new practitioners have been trained. Currently Basic Trainings in Prague, Warsaw and Zürich are in progress.
Our modular 20-month Basic Training has undergone sufficient testing and refining so that we can say in good conscience that it is one of the best SI Training programmes in the world. We aim to adjust our programmes to the local economy — the price of services, whether workshops or membership, will depend on where in Europe you live.
Dr. Ida Rolf dedicated a good part of her life to formulating and teaching what she called the "recipe" — a systematic programme of postural re-patterning in ten sessions, using connective tissue manipulation and sensorimotor movement education. Peter Melchior, Neal Powers and Emmett Hutchins, all first-generation Rolfers trained by Dr. Rolf herself, are at the origin of our lineage, and all of our senior instructors were originally their students.
Teaching Lineage
Dr. Ida Rolf left Emmett Hutchins the following Koan: "If you truly understand the basic intention and key to the first three hours, you will have discovered the entire process and intention of Structural Integration." Emmett Hutchins said it took him 20 years to discover a moderately accurate answer. The European Guild provides a home for all practitioners continuing this inquiry.
We are regular members of the International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI) and our training programmes are recognised by IASI. We closely cooperate with our sister schools — ISSI in Brazil and JISI in Japan.
